We are hiring an Design Engineer Front Lighting to work at one of our clients within the Automotive industry.
At Exterior front lighting, we are responsible for design and delivery of front lighting systems and handle both projects as well as advanced engineering.
We are part of ART Exterior System which is organized within Vehicle Tophat. ART Exterior System are responsible for design and delivery of the technical solution of Front lighting systems, Rear Lighting systems and Wiper and washer systems.
Each area covers the complete product development, mechanical, electrical and software. We are working in a Agile environment.
You will be part of an engineering team that develop engineering solutions that fulfil attribute requirements and manufacturing process demands within decided cost and time frames.
The work includes close collaboration with a FSS supplier in a design development as well as both having contacts with other engineering departments and within the ART. Close contacts with design/styling department and PQ to find the best design solutions.
As a Design engineer you are responsible for development of the headlamp together with the Team. You have the ability to analyze information and proposed solutions and to determine if the design proposals are viable.
The work consist of design work, investigations and integration into an industrialization solution to secure quality in our front lighting systems.
Assists in setting targets and subsequent problem solving. Updating of revision orders and release of bases. Initialization of the calculation and testing and participation in analysis.
• Contribute to secure functional models and functional sections
• Analyzes highly complex design problems and formulates engineering conclusions by the application of engineering principles.
• Contribute to secure geometry and final demands
• Provides engineering direction and support to design
• Generate temporary studies/concept sketches, of specific areas, to realize or eliminate engineering concerns.
• Execute according to time plans
Software & IT skills
Experience in design/development in the automotive industry and relevant areas of technology
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Advanced user in CATIA V5 and 3D modelling, drawing, TCe
- Excellent experience in plastic design
- Optical knowledge is advantageous
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- (B) Driving license
- Structured way of working, and good documentation skills.
- Self-driven, result oriented and flexible.
- Very good teamplayer
- Good communication skills
